This shrimp stir-fry will take you less than 30 minutes to prep and cook and I promise you that it’s better than any take out.
Ingredients for shrimp stir-fry:
- medium-size shrimp
- snap peas
- carrots
- bell peppers
- broccoli
Stir-fry sauce
- Oyster sauce
- black soy sauce
- sesame oil
- salt and black pepper
- garlic*not pictured
Wash, devein and take the shell of the shrimps. Then lay them on a plate with a paper towel underneath. Sprinkle salt and pepper on top. In a frying pan add about 1 Tbsp. of oil over high to medium-high heat. Give the shrimp some space in the pan so they can crisp up a bit. If your shrimp are large, cook them in two batches. Add about 1 Tbsp. of oil to the pan for each batch. Once the shrimps are cooked place them on a clean plate and set aside.
- In the same pan that you just cooked your shrimp, add 2 more Tbsp. of oil and place over high heat.
- Once the pan is hot add carrots and bell pepper and cook for 2 minutes or until carrots are tender.
- Now add broccoli, snap peas, a pinch of salt and black pepper, and stir-fry sauce. Add about 1/4 cup of water to the pan and place lid on the pan. This will help steam the broccoli. Cook for 3-4 minutes. Stir occasionally.
- Once the broccoli is fork-tender, add the cooked shrimp from earlier and give everything a good toss so the shrimp is coated in the sauce. Give the dish a taste and adjust the seasoning to your liking. Now turn the heat off and enjoy this delicious stir-fry with your choice of carb.
