This candy Easter basket is the perfect gift for Easter time. It takes less than 10 minutes to put everything together and you can use anything around the house to decorate it.
Here are the items we used to make our candy Easter basket. Once again the sky is the limit.
Items for Candy Easter Candy:
- 5 candy boxes preferably the same size- I found these movie theater candy boxes for under $1 at Walmart. They come in all different sizes and candy.
- ribbon to decorate
- Jute twine * optional
- glue gun and glue sticks
First, glue all the candy boxes together to make a basket.
Now, cut 6- 16 inches of the jute twine. Tie them together and taking two at a time braid them together to make a handle for the baskets. Once you’re finished braiding the twine tie another knot at the end.
Take the glue gun and glue the braided rope to the inside of the boxes. Now take the decorative ribbon and with the glue gun wrap it around the candy basket. We also made a bow with the ribbon and added it to the front.
Now it’s time to stuff the basket with assortments of goodies. We place crinkle paper on the bottom of the candy Easter baskets and added some Easter eggs, chocolate coins, pair of bunny glasses, and a fluffy stuffed bunny.
Now it’s ready! Such a fun and quick project with endless possibilities. We hope this post inspired you and make a candy basket for someone special. Have fun!
