Today, I’m sharing an easy oven-baked broccoli recipe that will take less than 30 minutes to prep and cook. It’s actually my favorite way to serve broccoli and eat it too. Well honestly, I don’t eat as much veggie as I should. Instead, my kids and husband devour them. So this new year I’m making it a goal to eat more vegetables if I can get to them.

We actually don’t have this enough. Instead, we would just have steamed broccoli most of the time but when we do have roasted broccoli, it’s a treat.

Like I mentioned before, this easy oven-baked broccoli is super quick to put together, and roasting the broccoli in the oven it adds tons of flavor. Give it a try if and let us know what you think.

Ingredients for easy oven-baked broccoli

  • broccoli
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • mined garlic

Prepping and cooking broccoli

Washing your veggies is a no brainer but make sure to dry the broccoli before roasting. If the broccoli is too wet, it won’t crisp up like you want it to.

I especially like to halve the florets length-wise when roasting broccoli so that the flat edges can get extra caramelized on the bottom of the pan while roasting.

Don’t overcrowd the broccoli.  If the florets are too close together on the sheet pan, they will steam in the oven and they won’t get brown and crisp. Make sure to spread your florets in an even layer with a little space between each one.

Now, bake broccoli at 425 degrees F. for about 15-20 minutes or until fork-tender and crispy around the edges. Let it cool down for 2-3 minutes, squeeze some lemon juice, and enjoy. You can have these as a snack or serve them as a side with your choice of protein and carbs.
